第一届国际超声分子影像学研讨会
会 议 纪 要

   第一届国际超声分子影像学研讨会,于2012年4月27日至29日在中国重庆瑞尔戴斯大酒店召开。会议由重庆市科学技术委员会主办;重庆医科大学承办;重庆医科大学附属第二医院、超声分子影像学重庆市医学重点实验室、重庆医科大学超声影像学研究所、上海医学影像及临床超声医学杂志协办。会议得到国家自然科学基金委员会资助。来自国内和美国、法国、加拿大、台湾、香港等国家、地区的400余名代表参会。会议召开之际,恰逢重庆医科大学附属第二医院建院120周年。会议开幕式由大会秘书长冉海涛教授主持,大会主席王志刚教授致欢迎辞,中华医学会副会长、中国医师学会副会长戴建平教授和中国生物物理学会分子影像学专业委员会主任、973首席科学家、中科院田捷教授讲话、祝贺;重庆市科委杨民宪巡视员、重庆医科大学杨竹副校长、荣昌县程昌耀副县长讲话、祝贺。重庆市科委国际合作处肖锋处长、基础处曹阳处长、社发处许志鹏处长;重庆医科大学科研处袁军处长;重庆医科大学附属第二医院左国庆副院长、科研处胡怀东副处长等领导到会祝贺。会议闭幕式由大会副主席常才教授主持,做了热情洋溢的会议总结。
  来自国内外的46名著名超声医学、工程学专家做了精彩的专题学术报告,报告了超声分子影像学、超声造影及临床超声诊疗技术的最新研究、应用成果:美国Alexander L. Klibanov教授“靶向微泡超声分子显像:定量评估血管内皮细胞表达的疾病相关标记物”、法国Chantal Pichon教授“超声触发微泡促基因转染:体内转染效率及细胞内实时监控”、加拿大Michael Kolios教授“光致液气相变:光激发微米及纳米级乳剂在光声诊断与治疗中的应用”,报告了超声分子探针、微泡携基因转染及光学诊疗等前沿研究课题;田捷教授“基于CLT-FMT-BLT-CT的四模态分子影像技术与系统”,开辟了更为广阔的分子影像学研究、应用空间;王新房教授“超声造影的起始、现状在和未来”,回顾了超声造影发展史,展望了令人鼓舞的前景;徐智章教授“血管内超声造影的过程分析”,警醒规范术语,注意安全性,以期正导后人;王志刚教授“多功能超声造影剂分子显像与治疗研究进展”,展示了该领域研究的最新成果;美国Hsu-Chong Yeh教授“一些少为人知的胜过CT, PET-CT 和MR的超声影像优点”,有新意和实用性;美国Feng Xie教授“微泡声学溶栓”,阐述充分,课题前沿;汪源源教授“一种适用于多扫描方式光声成像的图像重建算法”,有望成为光声成像图像重建的实用算法;王智彪教授“浅谈子宫肌瘤“病人”的个性化治疗”,提出了高强度聚焦超声等微创、无创治疗方法的新思路;戴志飞教授“基于超声造影成像的新型诊疗一体化制剂”,提出了肿瘤治疗的新理念新方法;梁萍教授“多模态影像融合与三维可视化的平台建立和临床研究”,建立了一套可行的多模态影像融合导航平台;常才教授“超声造影联合常规超声与单纯常规超声对乳腺良恶性肿瘤鉴别价值的比较”,病例数多,经病理证实,很有说服力;施剑林教授“纳米介孔硅球的制备及生物相容性”,有新的视觉、建树;美国Jing Gao教授“定量超声成像的临床应用”,提出了超声组织定征新见解;罗建文教授“心脏机电波成像用于无创检测心脏电激励序列”,很有潜在的研究、应用价值;美国徐晓嵘教授“多功能微泡在多模式影像导向治疗诊断学上的应用”,立意新颖,显示微泡不仅可用于超声,亦可用于荧光、光声及光学相干断层成像;台湾李百祺教授“以声为基础的多模态分子显像与靶向治疗”,创新性强,展示了该领域研究的新成果;吕明德教授“中国超声造影的规范化应用研究”,提出了适合中国的超声造影规范;郑海荣教授“基于微泡声调控的超声分子成像与给药技术研究”,展示了靶向超声分子成像的研究现状和广阔的应用前景;胡兵教授“低频低功率超声促进脂质体介导的人前列腺癌细胞pEGFP 基因的转染”,证实该技术很有研究应用价值;王文平教授“原发性肝癌血供的三维超声造影评价”,分析深入,很有实用性;万明习教授“超声微泡、空化与应用”,从声学原理上进行了深入的阐述,有指导意义;王金锐教授“多功能金纳米壳微泡超声造影剂监视下NOD/SCID鼠人类乳腺癌的光热治疗价值”,将声光结合,提出了无创治疗肿瘤的新方法新思路;高云华教授“靶向微泡介导兔易损斑块新生血管超声分子显像及CXCR4在AS演进中的研究”,在靶向超声分子显像上进行了卓有成效的研究;唐杰教授“前列腺组织弹性成像硬度与间质中I型及III型胶原纤维的关系”,课题先进,很有临床应用价值;邓又斌教授“超声造影成像技术评价冠心病患者颈动脉粥样硬化斑块的新生血管与冠心病危险因素的关系”,展示了超声造影诊断心血管疾病的新成果;田家玮教授“弹性成像在鉴别甲状腺实性肿块良恶性中的价值”,在鉴别肿瘤良恶性上有很好的临床应用前景;智光教授“Q-Flow技术评价心肌梗死患者左心室腔内血流”,可用于评价左室血流改变,有实用性;李安华教授“超声造影定量分析在抗肿瘤新药临床试验中的价值”,证实能及时、有效监测用药后肿瘤血流灌注改变,有应用前景;谢明星教授“UTMD介导PHD2-shRNA基因转染治疗大鼠急性心肌梗塞的实验研究”,在超声微泡靶向治疗研究上有创新;李锐教授“低机械指数超声造影与增强螺旋CT诊断≤2cm肝细胞癌的比较研究”,显示了超声造影在该领域应用的优越性;杨薇教授“靶向调控热休克蛋白对热消融治疗肿瘤的生物学效应及机制研究”,为局部治疗肿瘤临床应用转化提供了重要的参考依据;章东教授“微泡介导的空化效应促进血管内皮生长因子转染研究”,颇有新意;邹建中教授“HIFU治疗肿瘤的影像监控技术”,提出了高强度聚焦超声治疗肿瘤有前景的影像监控方法;宾建平教授“短暂心肌缺血后局部功能障碍和炎性粘附分子的记忆成像”,在分子影像学研究上有创新性建树;尹立雪教授“心肌造影超声心动图的在体安全性评价”,用实验证实,心肌造影是一种安全的诊断技术;冉海涛教授“包裹血卟啉PLGA微泡增强超声显像与声动力学治疗”,提供了肿瘤成像、治疗研究的新方法新策略;唐红教授“靶向超声造影剂在心血管疾病领域的研究进展”,证实该技术可在心血管疾病诊治中发挥大的作用;穆玉明教授“诊断超声联合靶向造影剂携带尿激酶溶解在体血栓的实验研究”,有新意,有深入研究价值;杜文华教授“实时超声造影在乳腺肿瘤鉴别诊断中的临床意义”,证明其有好的鉴别诊断价值;刘政教授“超声辐射力促进靶向微泡造影剂血管内皮粘附的研究”,在靶向微泡、超声辐射力研究上有创新;周翔教授“超声靶向破坏载铜微泡修复新西兰大白兔梗死心肌的初步研究”,为冠心病治疗研究提供了新思路;李发琪教授“HIFU所致空化泡和沸腾泡对B超声像图中强回声贡献的离体实验研究”,进行了深入的创新的基础理论探讨;郑元义教授“液气相变型超声造影剂显像与治疗肿瘤研究进展”,有创新,展示了其最新研究成果。美国Robert F. Mattrey教授大会交流的“循环肿瘤细胞的靶向与治疗:超声造影剂对血管外靶点诊断和治疗的方法”很有指导意义。
   会上,30名中青年学者、研究生做了中青年论坛英文学术报告,颁发了中青年优秀论文奖。其他与会专家、学者进行了会议交流,其论文摘要编入了会议论文集。十多家厂家到会参展,介绍了新仪器新技术。
   会议内容丰富、前沿,学术空气十分浓厚,与会代表受益匪浅。

Symposium Report

 1st International Symposium on Ultrasound Molecular sium on Ultrasound Molecular Imaging (ISUMI) has been held in Days Hotel & Suites Ruier, Chongqing, China. This conference is organized by Chongqing Science & Technology Committee, operated by Chongqing Medical Imaging (ISUMI)

 From 27th to 29th of April, 2012, the 1st International Sympol University and co-sponsored by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Chongqing Medical Key Laboratory for Ultrasound Molecular Imaging, Institute of Ultrasound Imaging-Chongqing University of Medical Sciences, Journal of Shanghai Medical Imaging, and Journal of Ultrasound in Clinical Medicine., funded by the National Natural Science Fund Committee. A total of more than 400 delegates from mainland China as well as many other countries and regions such as the U.S.A, France, Canada, Taiwan and Hong Kong attended to this conference. The coference coincides with the 120th anniversary of the Second Affiliated hospital of Chongqing Medcal University. Secretary General of the conference, professor Hai-tao Ran, presided over the opening ceremony. Chairman of the conference, professor Zhi-gang Wang, delivered welcoming remarks. Vice President of the Chinese Medical Association, professor Jianping Dai, Director of Molecular Imaging Professional Committee of Biophysical Society of China, 973 chief scientist and researcher, from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences , professor Jie Tian, Inspector of Chongqing Science and Technology Committee, Mingxian Yang, Vice President of Chongqing Medical University, Zhu Yang, the County Government Vice County Magistrate, Changyao Cheng, gave us congratulatory speeches in the opening ceremony. Director of international cooperation department from Chongqing Science and Technology Committee, Feng Xiao, Director of foundation department, Yang Cao, Director of social issuing office, Zhi-peng Xu, Director of scientific research department from Chongqing Medical University, Jun Yuan, Vice President of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Guo-qing Zuo, Duputy Director of scientific research department, Huai-dong Hu, and some other leaders attended the conference to give their congratulations. Vice President of the general conference, Professor Cai Chang, presided over the closing ceremony and made an enthusiastic conference summary.

 46 world top specialists in ultrasound medicine and ultrasonic engineering have given wonderful academic reports on the latest research and the application achievements of ultrasound molecular imaging, contrast-enhanced ultrasound and clinical ultrasound diagnosis and treatment technology:  

 Professor Alexander L. Klibanov (United States) “Ultrasound molecular imaging with targeted microbubbles: towards quantitative assessment of disease markers on vascular endothelium” , Professor Chantal Pichon ( France), “Ultrasound-activated microbubbles for gene transfer in vivo efficiency and real time intracellular investigations”、Professor Michael Kolios (Canada) “Optical droplet vaporization: The use of optically activated micro and nanoemulsions for photoacoustic theranostics” reported on frontier research subjects such as ultrasound molecular probe, transfection of ultrasound microbubble carrying gene and optical diagnosis and treatment. Professor Jie Tian “Multimodal molecular imaging of FMT/ BLT/CLT/CT: methodology and system” opened up a wider research and application space of molecular imaging. Professor Xinfang Wang “Ultrasonic contrast: Where we've been, where we are and where we're going” reviewed the history of contrast-enhanced ultrasound and looked into the inspiring future improvements. Professor Zhizhang Xu “Process analysis of intravascular ultrasound contrast imaging” clarified standard terms, paid attention to safety, so as to guide later generations. Professor Zhigang Wang “Research progress of multifunctional ultrasound contrast agents for molecular imaging and therapy” showed the latest achievements of this research field. Professor Hsu-Chong Yeh(United States) “Some less well known advantages of ultrasonography over the other imaging modalities” was innovative and practical. Professor Feng Xie (United States) “ Sonolysis with microbubbles” explicitly explained the front project. Professor Yuanyuan Wang “An image reconstruction algorithm for photoacoustic imaging of multi scanning modes” is expected to become practical algorithm of photoacoustic imaging reconstruction. Professor Zhibiao Wang “Personalized treatment of patients with uterine fibroids” putted forward new ideas in minimally invasive, noninvasive treatment methods such as high intensity focused ultrasound. Professor Zhifei Dai “Novel theranostic agents based on ultrasound contrast imaging” proposed new ideas and new methods of cancer treatment. Professor Ping Liang “Clinical studies and platforms establishment in fused multi-modality image and 3D visualization” established a viable navigation platform for multimodal image fusion. Professor Cai Chang “Comparison on conventional ultrasound and conventional ultrasound combined with contrast enhanced ultrasound in differential diagnosis of breast lesions” is very convincing since it provided number of cases and has been confirmed by pathology. Professor Jianlin Shi “Preparation and biocompatibility of hollow mesoporous silica nanospheres” has new vision and achievements. Professor Jing Gao (United States) “Clinical Applications of Quantitative Ultrasound Imaging” putted forward new ideas for ultrasonic tissue characterization. Professor Jianwen Luo “Electromechanical wave imaging of the heart for noninvasive mapping of electrical activation sequence” has great potential value in research and application. Professor Ronald Xu (United States) “Application of multifunctional microbubbles in multimodal imaging and image-guided theranostics” proposed profound ideas and demonstrated that microbubble not only can be used for ultrasound but also can be used for fluorescence, optical acoustic and optical coherence tomography. Professor Pai-Chi Li (Taiwan) “Acoustics based multi-modality molecular imaging and targeted therapy” is very innovative .It showed the latest research findings in this field. Professor Lü Mingde “The study of good clinical practice recommendations for contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in China” presented contrast-enhanced ultrasound norms suitable for China. Professor Hairong Zheng “Acoustic tuning and manipulation of microbubbles for ultrasonic molecular imaging and therapy” demonstrated the present situation and broad application prospect of targeted ultrasound molecular imaging. Professor Bing Hu “The improvement of liposome mediated transfection of pEGFP DNA into human prostate cancer cells by combining low-frequency and low-energy ultrasound with microbubbles” proved this technology has very good application value. Professor Wenping Wang “Evaluation of blood supply of primary liver cancer using three-dimensional ultrasound imaging” made an in-depth analysis and is very practical. Professor Mingxi Wan “Ultrasound microbubble, cavitation and application” has guidance significance since it presented in-depth elaboration on acoustic principles. Professor Jinrui Wang “Ultrasound contrast imaging-guided photothermal therapy of breast cancer in NOD/SCID mice using multifunctional gold nanoshelled microcapsules” combined acoustics with optics and proposed new methods of non-invasive cancer treatment. Professor Yunhua Gao “Molecular imaging of vulnerable plaques in rabbits using contrast-enhanced ultrasound targeting and effects of chemokine receptor CXCR4 in atherosclerosis” demonstrated a fruitful research on targeted ultrasound molecular imaging. Professor Jie Tang “Correlation of tissue’s elasticity displayed by elastography and collagen type I, III of stroma in prostate”is a new project with significant clinical application value. Professor Youbin Deng “Evaluation of the relationship between carotid plaque neovascularization and cardiovascular risk factors by contrast-enhanced ultrasound imaging” revealed the new results in contrast-enhanced ultrasound diagnosis of cardiovascular disease. Professor Jiawei Tian “Value of elastography in differential diagnosis of solitary nodules of thyroid” has very good application prospects in clinical application on differential diagnosis of benign and malignant tumors. Professor Guang Zhi “Estimation of LV flow in MI patients with echo flow imaging” is practical and could be used for evaluating left ventricular blood flow changes. Professor Anhua Li “The value of contrast-enhanced sonography with quatification in evaluation of tumor targeted therapy:preliminary results” has application prospect as it proved timely and effective monitoring after the administration of tumor blood flow changes. Professor Mingxing Xie “ultrasound targeted microbubble destruction facilitates angiogenesis and enhances myocardial function in acute myocardial infarction in rats” has innovation on ultrasonic micro bubble targeted therapy. Professor Rui Li “Diagnosis of small hepatocellular carcinoma: comparison of low mechanical index real-time contrast-enhanced ultrasonography with contrast-enhanced helical CT” demonstrated the superiority of the contrast-enhanced ultrasound application in this field. Professor Wei Yang “The role of modulation of heat shock protein in thermal ablation of solid tumor and mechanism study” provided important reference basis for clinical application of local tumor therapy transformation. Professor Dong Zhang “Enhancement of VEGF transfection in vitro with microbubble assisted acoustic cavitation” is creative. Professor Jianzhong Zou “Image monitoring techniques of tumors treated with high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU)” presented the high intensity focused ultrasound video monitoring method in treatment of cancer which is also promising. Professor Jianping Bin “Memory of regional dysfunction and inflammatory adhesion molecules after brief episodes of myocardial ischemia” has innovative contribute in molecular imaging studies. Professor Lixue Yin “The safety assessment of myocardial contrast echocardiography (MCE) in vivo” proved that the diagnosis of myocardial contrast echocardiography is a security technology based on experiments. Professor Haitao Ran “Hematoporphyrin encapsulated PLGA microbubble for contrast enhanced ultrasound imaging and sonodynamic therapy” provided new methods and strategies for tumor imaging and therapy research. Professor Hong Tang “Advanced research of targeted ultrasound contrast agent in cardiovascular diseases” confirmed that the technology may play a large role in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Professor Yu-ming Mu “Experimental study of diagnostic ultrasound combined with targeted contrast agents carrying urokinase to dissolve the thrombosis in vivo” is fresh and worth in-depth research. Professor Wen-hua Du “The clinical significance of real-time contrast enhanced ultrasonography in the differential diagnosis of breast tumor” proved its good differential diagnosis value. Professor Zheng Liu “Ultrasound radiation force enhance the targeting adhesion of microbubble in both small and great vessels” has further innovation on targeted microbubbles and ultrasonic radiation force research. Professor Xiang Zhou “Ultrasound contrast microbubble targeted copper therapy for ischemic myocardial infarction in new zealand rabbits” provided new thinking on coronary heart disease treatment research. Professor Faqi Li “Experimental studies on effects of cavitation and boiling bubbles played on the hyperecho appearance on B-mode ultrasound images” made further innovative and in-depth discussion on basic theory. Professor Yuanyi Zheng “Advancement in phase transitional ultrasound contrast agent for tumor imaging and therapy” brought forth new ideas and presented the latest research achievements. Professor Robert F. Mattrey (United States) conference paper “Targeting and therapy of circulating malignant cells: Approaches to deliver ultrasound contrast agent to extravascular sites for diagnosis and therapy” is of instructive significance.

 30 young scholars and postgraduate students also presented in the symposium and the Best Paper Award for Young Scholar were given to the excellent young scholars. Other experts and scholars attended to the symposium made academic exchange and the summery of their papers are edited in the conference proceedings. Over 10 companies attended the exhibition and introduced new instruments and new technology.

 The Symposium had rich content and covered cutting-edge topics. All the delegates attended benefited from the strong academic atmosphere.
